East Coast Beach Towns

We love visiting the beach on vacation, and luckily, there are so many beautiful East Coast beach destinations for families. While many of these are within easy driving distance for us to visit, some are more of a family vacation destination.

While there are many options, some of our favorites are Old Silver Beach in Falmouth, Smugglers Beach in Yarmouth, and the beaches of Provincetown and the Cape Cod National Seashore. Gray’s Beach in Yarmouth Port is also a great place to visit, and offers a long boardwalk over the marshes.

One of my favorite beaches to visit is Ogunquit, located in Maine right by the New Hampshire border. Ogunquit is a vibrant beach community with hotels, a local summer theater program, shops, restaurants, and more.

I recently visited Bethany Beach as part of a complimentary media trip, and was impressed by the beach and fun boardwalk. Bethany Beach also offers delicious food, including boardwalk fries and fresh seafood.

This town, named for the beach, is home to several different beaches. The largest is Virginia Beach offering a boardwalk and many waterfront hotels and restaurants.

We loved our visit to Tybee Island as part of a complimentary media trip. It’s near Savannah, so it’s perfect for a day trip. Yet, it has such a fun atmosphere with delicious restaurants.

We recently spent spring break on Clearwater Beach and loved the beautiful beach. It has been rated the top beach in the United States, and I can understand why. Visit in the spring for the incredibly fun Sugar Sand Festival.

This popular Florida East Coast beach is a hotbed of activity. From the beautiful oceanfront to many delicious restaurants, this area is great for a vacation.
